Professional History

I have worked in a group home atmosphere, within the hospice community, as well as with neurodivergence. Academically, I completed two teaching assistantships and gained teaching experience around the subject of developmental psychology, with an emphasis on attachment.

In addition, I worked as an intern to help facilitate workshops designed for people experiencing unemployment, as well as people recently released from prison and integrating back into mainstream society. In graduate school, I worked with both university students, as well as adult trauma survivors.

A little more about me

I’m married, and my husband and I have two adult children. In my spare time I greatly enjoy hiking in the forest, landscape photography, and spending time with my family and two cats.

My Story

My journey to become a clinical mental health counselor began in early 2019 - when a culmination of life experiences and an awareness of my natural strengths merged together to reveal my true calling. I then went back to school to pursue my Master’s degree...and have never looked back!

I have a profound passion for the field of mental health, in addition to decades of experience working with people of all ages and abilities. I'm an adoption competent therapist, and have formal training pertaining to working with clients in the adoption constellation. That - paired with personal experience within the adoption constellation - provides a rich foundation in my understanding of adoption-related concerns.

Simply put...I absolutely love what I do, and am truly honored to come alongside others and be a part of their healing journeys.
